Guglielmo is pursuing his Ph.D. at the ICMA Centre under the supervision of Professor Simone Varotto and Dr. Lisa Schopohl.
His research revolves around biodiversity finance and biodiversity-related risks for firms and financial institutions.
Among his further research interests there are climate finance, sustainable finance, and the realm of alternative asset markets.
Guglielmo worked for two years as a research fellow at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, where he carried out research projects related to machine learning methods to analyse the impact of the energy transition on firms’ credit risk and the Eurozone countries’ sovereign risk, and to portfolio diversification with art as an alternative investment. He also contributed to the EU-funded project LIFE PollinAction, with a particular emphasis on conducting and interpreting statistical analyses.
Guglielmo is teaching assistant for the following modules: IC209 (Sustainable Finance), IC214 (Climate Change and Finance), ICM405 (Corporate Finance and Financial Reporting), and ICM613 (Alternative Investments and Structured Products).
