FT Masters in Finance 2024

Henley Business School has reached the world top 35 and Europe top 30 in this year’s Financial Times Masters in Finance rankings, and is once again ranked within the top 10 business schools in the UK:

  • 33rd in the world
  • 28th in Europe
  • 6th in the UK

Henley was the most improved school this year, climbing seven places this year in the world ranking.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Reflecting the school’s commitment to staff and student diversity, the FT ranked Henley’s programmes 1st in the UK, Europe and the world for the number of women on the school’s advisory board, and 1st in the UK for the proportion of women in the faculty. Henley is placed 5th in the UK and Europe, and 6th in the world for international students, and 7th in the UK for international faculty.

International programmes

Henley’s international course experience was again rated the best in the UK, with Henley's students given the opportunity to carry out exchanges and internships overseas lasting at least a month. The programme’s content provides a strong international dimension, adding to students’ overall experiences and future employability in the international market.

Boosting careers

Increasing salaries among Henley graduates helped the school secure a world top 20 ranking in this area (2nd in the UK), with graduates reporting an average salary increase of 66% three years after graduating.

Henley placed in the world top 20 for career progress (3rd in the UK; 15th in Europe), reflecting the increasing growth in the level of seniority of our graduates, as well as the size of organisations they go on to work for.

Sustainability

The University of Reading and the Business School are working towards net-zero carbon emissions, embedding sustainability practices across operations to become a leader in global environmental sustainability. This is reflected through our ranking of 1st in the UK.

Professor George Alexandridis, Head of Pre-Experience Postgraduate Programmes, said:

“We’re proud of our ranking in the latest FT Masters in Finance rankings – a fantastic achievement to have improved despite increased competition.

We have been a pioneer in embedding international course experiences such as placements and field trips that enhance our students’ international exposure. This helps us prepare our graduates for the future of work in the global business market, so it’s particularly rewarding to see the strong rankings around employment outcomes and career progress both in the UK and internationally.”

A total of 65 schools from around the world were ranked in the FT Masters in Finance ranking which takes into account factors such as alumni career progress, employment and salary increase, diversity among students and staff, and course experience.
