Getting here:
By Road
Reading is situated 40 miles from London via the M4 motorway, junction 11. Visitors arriving by road from other routes should follow Town Centre signs, and then follow signs for the University or UoR.

From the Airport
From Heathrow: A RailAir Link coach service departs from each terminal every thirty minutes, arriving at Reading town centre (rail station).
A day return coach ticket costs approximately £13.50 (single ticket £12), and this can be purchased from ticket offices at the terminals.
From Gatwick: A direct train leaves Gatwick for Reading every hour. Journey time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. A day return rail ticket to Reading costs between £22 and £43.
Taxis are available direct from the airports to Reading. Charges vary but, as a guide, a taxi pre-booked to or from the ICMA Centre will cost approximately:
Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 and 3 – £35 (£65 for 6 seater)
Heathrow Terminal 4 – £40
Gatwick – £70 (£100 for 6 seater)
Public transport:
By Rail
There are fast trains between London Paddington and Reading approx every 15 minutes. Journey time is about 25 mins. (Intermediate Thames Trains services are slower). Taxis are available directly outside Reading station (exit by WHSmith) – journey time to the ICMA Centre is 5-10 mins.

By Bus
There are buses from Reading town centre to the University approximately every 15 minutes.
Bus numbers: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 20, 21, 140, 144 from Reading rail station or Market Place, town centre.
Numbers 20 and 21 now stop on campus.
