Finance Research Seminar by Prof. Jennifer Castle
The distinguished speaker is from Magdalen College, University of Oxford.
Castle is a Tutorial Fellow in Economics at Magdalen College, and since 2022 she has been serving as the Director of Climate Econometrics at Nuffield College (where she obtained her PhD in Economics ) and Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, at the University of Oxford.

Her research interests lie in the fields of model selection, forecasting, and climate econometrics. Prof. Castle’s research focuses on econometric modelling and the use of general-to-specific methodology in modelling economic time series, modelling non-linear economic time series and macro-economic forecasting in theory and practice, with applications including inflation, unemployment, the output gap and climate variables.
Her publications appear in many top journals including the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Economica, the Journal of Forecasting, the Journal of Macroeconomics, the Journal of Econometrics, the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and the International Journal of Forecasting.
